Data checkup

After the data recovery it is necessary to check the integrity of each file individually. In most cases it is the tens or thousands of files.

In our work with disks over the years we can estimate when the data integrity is threatened. Typical cases are logic malfunctions and faulty firmware. In these cases, it is more likely  that the data will be damaged.

Most activities in the HelpDisc imply the  work of technicians on multiple drives simultaneously. Verification of data is a tedious and sometimes almost impossible process. In order to avoid errors and any inconvenience, we have developed a software that does this automatically.

Standard diagnosis implies the analysis and creating of file list that the client can view on our website on the customer service page. The file list provides insight into the total amount of recovered data, the number of files and number of damaged files.

In the process of creating the file list, data is passing through a specific pattern. If the file is larger than 512 bytes, it's being checked. Any file that does not meet the matrix criteria, denotes the field "ManuallyCheck" and should be specially checked. This way the client, and employees, have an absolute control on the success of data recovery.

Software for checking the data and file list are integrated in our job tracking system. This way, we have raised the quality of our service to a higher level and we are not lagging behind the biggest data recovery companies in the world. Further improvement of this software is one of the main goals of our development.
