Logic malfunctions

Logic malfunction is  the loss of data from a hard disk which can be physically accessed without problems from first to last sector. For data recovery on media with   this type of failure we use the latest licensed tools and processes. Recovery is possible for all types of operating systems.

Logic failures include losses of data due to:

Loss of partition

Loss of partition is most commonly manifested by an inability to boot the operating system, or an inability to access the files in case of a non-system disk. If your disk lost its partitions, it will be shown in Disk Management as  an empty field (RAW). For the sake of your data safety, we wouldn't  recommend you to use any Active recovery tools or any other software that writes contents directly to disk, as it can lead to permanent data loss.

Damage caused by viruses

Damage caused by viruses is not that common as it used to be. Virus makers today are not involved in attempts to cripple your computer. They are  rather concentrated on attempts to find some    information on your computer that they can cash-in (credit cards, account numbers, etc.).

Since the symptoms are similar, it often happens that the problem with bad sectors gets mixed up with a virus problem. Difficulties in system boot, slow system work, lack of access to certain files ... In dealing with the infected disks, we must take special care because the virus actions are often unpredictable.

Loss of data due to operating system reinstallation

Operating system reinstallation is one of the most common sources of data loss. Before reinstall, seemingly all is backed up, all data is on the backup disk. Then you begin the process of reinstalling and only then realize that some of the key folders are left forgotten. The worst thing you can do is to restore the backup that you had, because it removes any possibility of data recovery.

The moment you realize that some data is lost, it is necessary to immediately stop the installation, no matter at what stage it is.

Deletion of files

Since the beginning of computers era, deletion of files was the biggest setback that user can afford to do. Accidental deletions, deletions by error, false attribution, and often involuntary transfer of files to the wrong folder (drag and drop) are the most common problems in data recovery. When the problem is noticed, it is essential for the success of data recovery process to switch off the computer immediately and hand the problem over to professionals.

The most common reasons for the inability to restore lost or deleted files are:

  • long period of time which elapses from deleting the files to the attempt of recovery (during which time the computer is used)

  • unprofessional attempt to recover the data by installing some of the popular recovery tools to a partition from which the deleted files should be recovered.

Also, we reccomend you not to use any kind of active recovery, undelete files or similar tools to recover deleted files because these tools write on the disk.

Database damage

Database damages have no specific situations in which they occur. The only thing we can conclude is that the bigger and more complex database is, the better the chances of failure are.

Whether it is a business database or regular base with emails, there are valid rules to be followed if you notice that the database is not working properly. Turn off the server, don't try any recovery tools that write on the hard disk. We possess licensed software for recovering all major databases and mail servers.
